Payment Policies:

There is a non-refundable administrative/registration fee of $45.00 per student. Accounts paid after the tenth of the month will acquire a 15% late fee on the total due. We accept checks and cash/money orders as well as online payments. There is a $25.00 service charge for all returned checks. Please mail your payments or pay online.

To reserve your class space, please send in your $45.00 registration fee today. Tuition can be paid monthly, or in full. Discounts apply for those who choose to pay in full. TUITION IS ALL INCLUSIVE; There are no extra fees. You choose which plan is best for you! 50% discount for siblings. (Registration not included)

Pick-up Policy:

Your children are not allowed to go home with anyone not OK’d by YOU in writing. If there is someone other than you picking up your child and they are not listed on the pick up list you filled out on our registration form, please send in a note signed by you. Otherwise, the instructor will keep your child in her care (There are hefty charges for this…) Late pick-up fee = $10.00 every quarter hour.

Recital:

You may choose to buy ads for the recital program although it is not required. Information will be mailed to you in February. The recital is in May and this is the end of the season big gala performance. All students participate. Information in detail about this exciting event will be mailed to you 2 weeks prior to the show.

Dress Code:

All boys level 1 – 10:

Sweat pants or bike shorts in solid colors, white T-shirt tucked in.

All girls level 1- 5:

Any SOLID color leotard, pink micro fiber tights (no seams). Leotards may have attached skirts or have an elastic waste. Skirts that tie are not allowed in class. Jazz pants are acceptable for jazz and tap.

PLEASE NOTE – ALL LEVEL 6-10:

Students black leotard only Professional short shear ballet skirts may be worn.

A word about tights and shoes:

Please purchase the proper professional tights and shoes! Refer to your phonebook under dancewear. Ask for Bloch, Capezio, or Danskin brand micro fiber for tights and the same brand for shoes.

Shoes:

All ballet girls-pink split sole leather ballet shoes. All ballet boys – black split sole leather or canvas shoes.

All jazz students:

Tan split sole slip on oxfords.

All tap students:

Tan buckle tap shoes. DO NOT purchase shoes that have ties.

HAIR UP as defined as:

A bun, French braid and braided/twisted and secured with barrette, or ponytail if short enough not to get in the face when doing turns. Secure shorter hair away form eyes.

Holidays / Cancellation:

The studio observes some, not all Duval County scheduled holidays. As in any private school, tuition for the season remains the same.

Students may at any time cancel taking class. Parents must write to the office for cancellation. There are NO REFUNDS should you decide to cancel classes, unless payment is made in full for the season. The Mazza-Smith Studio reserves the right to cancel class if environment does not meet our minimum requirement of eight, ongoing, registered students per class during a scheduled season. If we cancel a class before it begins for the season, all registration fees and other fees will be refunded.

Attendance:

It is very important that students attend class on a regular basis. .
